Setting Windows XP To Update Automatically

The updating process for Windows XP may be greatly simplified by following these instructions.

1. Open Control Panel.
2. Press A until you hear Automatic Updates and than Press Enter.
Use the Tab Key to move between boxes.

3. The first Combo Box gives you 4 choices. Use your arrow Keys to move it to Automatic.

4. The next Combo Box sets the frequency. With the Arrow keys set it to Every Day, or choose another one that suits your schedule better.

5. The next one sets the time it will check for them. Use the arrow keys to select a time your computer is likely to be on.

6. Now Tab down past Ok and look for an Apply choice. If you find one hit enter and than shift tab back to ok and press enter again. If you don't find Apply just press Enter on Ok.
