Directions For Copying And Pasteing
Follow these steps to remove headers and footers..
1. To paste into an entirely new document. Open the message you wish to copy and use Control-a to select all of the document.
2. Next use Control-c to copy the selected material.
3. Now close the document and go to where you wish to create the new document.
4. Next open the new document and use Control-v to paste in the copied material.

5. Now arrow down to the last line before what you want to save. Now hold down the Shift and Control key and press the Home key.

6. Next after releasing those keys press the Delete key. Now all of the headers should be gone.
7. To remove the footers do this.
8. Use the down arrow key to arrow down to just below what you wish to save.
9. Now hold down the Shift and Control key and press the End key.
10. After releasing those keys press the Delete key. The Footers should all be gone now.
11. If you are going to simply Forward a message do this.
12. open the Document you wish to forward.
13. Now use Control-F to Open the forward option.

14. After inserting the address, Tab down to the body of the message and follow the above directions for removing headers and footers. In the event you make a mistake, you can use Control-Z to restore the deleted material.

Copying and Pasteing Words and Sentences
1. First, open the document you wish to copy from. Now you have several options.
2. The entire document can be selected by using Control-A. To select it all.
3. To select lines one at a time, arrow down to the first line you want.

4. Now hold down the Shift key and press the down arrow key . The first line selected will be the one your on. Continue to hold down the Shift key and down arrow line by line.

5. If you make a mistake and select one you don't want, simply up arrow to unselect it.
6. When you have selected everything you want release the Shift key.

7. There is a second method that allows you to select one line at a time. Choose the line you want with the arrow keys. Press the Home key to place you at the beginning of the line. Hold down the Control and Shift key and press the End key. The Cursor will rapidly move to the end of the line, selecting all letters along the way. You may now delete or copy this line in the normal manner.

8. Individual words can be selected by holding down the Control and Shift key use the right arrow key to select each word. Again if you select something you don't want, unselect it by using the Left arrow.

9. Individual letters may be selected or unselected by using the Shift Key and the Arrow keys in the same manner.

10. You may select either everything from where you are to the bottom or top by holding down the Control and Shift key and to select everything to the top press the Home key. To select everything to the bottom press the End key.

11. In all of these cases after you have selected what you want, what you do next will control what happens. Control-C will copy it. pressing the Delete key will delete the selected material.

12. If you are moving it to a new document, copy it with Control-C and than close this document.
13. Now open the new document. If you wish to type in something first do so and than press Enter to reach a new line.
14. Now use Control-V to paste the copied material in.
If you wish to copy the URL from a Web page it may easily be done in the following manner.
1. While on the page, press the F4 key by itself. This will place you on the URL. Note; This does not always work, it depends on the site.
2. Now use Control-A to select it and Control-C to copy it.
3. Exit the Web page and open the document you wish to put it in. 4. Next type any message you wish to put in.
5. Now press the End key to put you at the end of the line and Enter to drop you down a line
6. . Now use Control-V to paste in the URL.

After you have tried this a few times, you'll find that it will become quite useful. These commands are Windows commands and will work in most programs.

General Note: Remember that when the document is in the read only state, as it is when you are reading a new or saved e-mail, you can only select and copy material. Only when it has been pasted into a new document will you be able to delete parts of it and make changes.
