Victor Reader Stream and NLS Download Project Information

The information found on this page is an attempt on the part of the Accessible Devices team to collect all our information in one place. We will attempt to provide all the information we have about the Victor Reader Stream and the NLS Download project here. All three of us have purchased the Stream and are currently involved in the download project. This will be an ongoing effort.

Note from the Accessible Devices team.
In order for you to use and enjoy your Victor Reader Stream it is essential that you understand computer file management techniques. That is, you need to be able to create folders and also nested folders, or folders within the main one. You must also know how to cut, copy and paste as well as renaming files and folders. You will also need to be able to unzip a file as the books come in a Zip extension. While none of this is really very hard you need to be able to do it.

Note About Applying To Humanware For Your Key

When the Victor Stream reads your serial number to you it separates some number groups with a dash. Do not include the dashes when you enter the serial number in the form on Humanware's site.

We include part of the text from the message you'll receive from Humanware.
To find your Stream's serial number press the INFO (key 0) on your Stream. The serial number is announced at the end of the "About Victor Reader" section of the INFO messages. The serial number is also printed in the battery compartment. All Streams have a 12 digit serial number such as 95-1303-xxxxxx. When you enter the serial number on the web form, enter all 12 digits without any dashes.
