Hello All,
My name is Nir Dvash, and i am the developer of the TapMemo. I wanted
to share with you some details about myself and what brought me to
where i am today:
Ever since i was a young boy i had a string passion for voice. It all began with a Speak & Spell game (from Texas Instruments) that one of my classmates had at home. I was stunned by the fact that the machine talked. For me, that was the start of a long road filled with weird inventions in the backyard, trying to achieve voice recognition with an Atari 800XL personal computer (back in 1985) ,a graduation project in high school that was actually a very primitive soundcard and more. Almost 22 years after the Speak & Spell game changed my life, i founded Verbal Machines LTD, a company which is totally focused on voice, with a strong believe that voice is the medium to communicate with the machines around us.
The first product Verbal Machines came out with was the Vocally voice activated dialer, with the cooperation of G.G. Electronics LTD. The Vocally is a simple to use voice activated dialer that can be connected to any regular phone and turn that phone into a voice activated phone. Vocally has been selling for over 5 years now and already improved the life of thousands of people all over the world.
The second product Verbal Machines came out with was The Answer. The Answer is a actually the world first and only fully voice activated answering machine. What makes it so unique is the fact that it does not contain buttons - not even one! All of its functions, like playing messages, changing the volume level and more are controlled by voice commands.
TapMemo is the third and newest member of this voice activated family. It was developed with the cooperation of Nistec LTD and is currently starting to sell all over the US, Canada and Europe. TapMemo concept is simplicity. Trying to keep things as simple as possible was the main goal. Using only one button, voice commands and a smart game play resulted in a device which most users can start using even without the users manual.
Learning from the feedback we already received from users, we think we did a pretty good job. Yes, TapMemo is not perfect, and maybe not perfect for everyone, but it is a device which can help many others.
I will be more then glad to hear back from you. You can email me
